YES, I do events! In addition to my original music performances, I also offer solo, duo, trio, and full band options for your special event. My show soulfully fuses acoustic guitar, cello, and angelic harmonies together to provide my own thoughtful new interpretations of beloved cover songs, as well as my own stirring Folk/Americana originals. I cater my sound to fit any atmosphere, carefully selecting songs from my extensive repertoire to create the perfect ambiance for you. Professionalism, client satisfaction, communication, and FUN are my highest priorities when handling your event!
My main band members include myself (songwriter, vocalist and guitarist), remarkably talented cellist/flutist Jamie Leigh Bennett, guitar/mandolin virtuoso and fellow singer/songwriter Eric Congdon. We have been a dynamic musical team together for many years. With their help, I won the title of “Best Acoustic/Folk Band” in all of Western North Carolina in for the last 5 years! With combined bachelors and masters degrees in classical music and performance, we have years of experience playing for a multitude of different events and venues, including weddings, corporate events, private parties, engagement parties, vineyards, wineries, long term care facilities, festivals, breweries, and more. We pride ourselves on our ability to fit in anywhere.
Though I am Asheville based, I love to travel! I primarily stay within the Southeast USA, but can make exceptions, especially if already planning tour near you. As an artist, I also know that options are important to you. I play quite frequently with a rotating roster of other talented & professional musicians in our area, and can easily add them to our show depending on our clients needs. Violin, mandolin, piano, electric or acoustic guitar, drums, upright bass, cello – just ask!
With a unique blend of folk, blues, jazz, and acoustic melodies, Hope Griffin Music is ready to make your event the best it can be!

“We hired Hope Griffin Music to play for our son and his finance’s engagement party. We had 50 people for heavy appetizers and drinks so we’re looking for music that fit the event. Hope and her group were great! They worked with us before hand to think through the music that would fit best and helped set the tone for toasts and congratulations. Our guests enjoyed the music and we had a great evening. We also have heard the Hope Griffin Music Group playing in two other settings where they played more of a rock set and they were terrific! Many bands sound the same no matter the type of music they play but Hope Griffin Music can play a variety of genres and each has the right sound for the genre they are playing.” ~ Gary Foss, GFossConsulting LLC, Asheville, NC
“We originally listened to Hope at a winery event. Her voice & music were so impressive we asked her to sing at our daughter’s wedding in northern Georgia. The songs & music selection were perfect for this big event. We were so happy with her performance we asked her to sing again at our 2nd daughter’s wedding in Charleston, SC. Once again we were beyond satisfied with the music. I would highly recommend Hope Griffin for any event. She was professional, courteous, & eager to listen to our requests.” ~ Susan Wozney, Panama City, FL
“We went through a bit of a hard time finding a musician for our wedding, after our first fell through and our backup was unavailable. Hope was recommended to us by another local musician and I’m so glad we found her! I guess the third time’s a charm! Looking back I can definitely say I’m happy the others didn’t work out. She was very flexible with song choices and her rates are reasonable, even with travel. On the day of our wedding, she and her cellist were so sweet and wonderful. The combination of the acoustic guitar and the cello made everything feel so magical. It was the perfect feel for our outdoor mountain wedding and we got lots of compliments from our guests about how much they enjoyed it. Our day wouldn’t have been the same without them.” ~ Lindsey Rourke, Hendersonville, NC
