Ahhhh hey again! It’s been so long since I’ve updated, but there has been SO MUCH HAPPENING. July midwest tour went off swimmingly. We went to new places, met new people, played some damn good music. Upon our return, I hit the studio to finish up a project I had started in the Spring. Though I knew being on the road would keep me extra busy this year, I wanted to make sure I still had time to put out something new. Anthony Dorion from Good Flow Productions and I have worked together on my last two projects, and they turned out so beautifully. There was no question I wanted him back on this project. “Carousel” is a song I wrote around 2 years ago. After it was completed, I knew I had something special, and that I wanted it to be my next single. I was knee deep in other projects then, so I placed it on a shelf and promised to return when the time was right. Well, that time is now friends – and couldn’t be more excited to give it to you!
You’ll find this song to be a lot more broken down then my previous releases. That was very purposeful, as I wanted the simplicity of the lyrics to speak for themselves. This recording is comprised of very few tracks and instruments – mainly acoustic guitar, electric bass, and vocals. I wanted a very amniotic feel, to give strong emphasis to the vocal quality and deep meaning behind the words. I hope I’ve accomplished this in what will be delivered to you very soon! I’m SO SUPER proud of what Anthony and I have created – and I hope you will be too. I’ve included the cover art below – look for it everywhere digital music is sold on October 24th!
